The LifeVision Foundation is now actively supporting the welfare of Tibetan refugee children who are incapable of receiving a traditional education. On the initiative of Mrs Nawarng Lhamo MP ATPD and approved by the Office of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, a new Tibetan Handicapped Childrens Home has opened in Dharamsala in northern India. Tibetan society being a family-oriented one, the concepts of old peoples homes and homes for the handicapped are relatively unknown. Every Tibetan family takes care of its disabled members and respect for elders and concern for the handicapped form an inherent part of traditional Tibetan society. However, due to the harshness of living in exile, many now find it impossible to provide for their families as before.
give a child a chance for a brighter future
In response to repeated appeals for help, Mrs Nawang Lhamo developed the initiative named Nyingtob Ling, " The Realm of Courage" by His Holiness the Dalai Lama.     The Office of His Holiness asked LifeVision Foundation for help and we now sponsor all the children at the new home. The aim is to provide vocational training and employment opportunities to the handicapped Tibetan children in exile.          This project will, in conformity with the UN Development plan, provide the handicapped children with daily food and lodging, healthcare, education and vocational training in a clean and safe environment wherein children can live together in an atmosphere of love and care.

The first phase has begun with the selection of 10 children in the age group 12 to 18 from families in severe financial difficulties. The Home is housed in a temporary, block built, premises with an in charge nurse, teacher, cook and household helper. Our next aim is to build a suitable permanent home and soon look after 50 children.

The LifeVision Foundation was established in the year marking the fiftieth anniversary of The Universal Declaration of Human Rights in order to "promote the relief of sickness, poverty, need, hardship, distress, and the education of all people in physical, mental and spiritual health". The LifeVision Foundation provides help for refugee and orphan children.       You can help by making a donation, sponsoring a child. Your donation helps with children’s projects approved by his Holiness the Dalai Lama of Tibet, winner of the Nobel Prize for Peace.
