| Dated: August 25, 1998 Respected Madam,
With most respectfully, I beg to state that
my daughter Ms. Dickyi aged 16 years is a handicap child as an aftermath result of TB
Meningitis in childhood. In the beginning I have admitted her to Mussoorie School but due
to her ill health she could not continue her study. After much hardship I have again
admitted her to TCV Day school, Mcleod Ganj but the school headmistress informed me about
her mentally retardation and physical problems that unable her to pursue her study as per
her peer groups. After that I tried her luck in the nunnery but due to her mental and
physical handicap they rejected her to admit and advised me to approach Department of
Health. But unfortunately they found her over aged. I have knocked all the doors to seek
her fortune but finally I am left with no other choice except to seek your help and
assistance.
I have learned that you are initiating a
pilot venture to educate the handicap children. I therefore request your kindself to
consider my request to extend your help to make her life better through your kind
assistance.

Respected
Sir/Madam,
This is to state that Ms. Tenzin Dekyi born
in 1982 was transferred from Mussoorie school to this school in 1994. Due to her Physical
and Mental handicap we found no scope for her to pursue the study with her peer groups.
Hence, we are told by the administration to take her home as there is no hope for her as
well as it may not create unnecessary adverse impact on other children.
We appreciated, if there is any means to
make her life better. |
